A veteran from Chickasha is once again mowing lawns for people in need, after someone stole his mower.

Rick Stitt has mowed the lawns fore people in need for the past three years, until someone stole his mower earlier in September.

When a radio listener told a local DJ what happened, the community reached out.

KOOL FM DJ Bruce McGrew said, "We went on the air and asked listeners if they wanted to volunteer or donate some money to get him a new mower, and the response was immediate. We had the money within 24 hours."

Stitt said he promises that he will make sure every penny goes well spent.
