Nowata Man Arrested After Officers Found Body In His Home

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Nowata Police Department in a homicide case.

OSBI and police officers are gathered near the Casey's General Store on Highway 169.

The OSBI said Nowata police officers responded to a call involving a car accident and a fight with an individual named Jacob Reid Edward Kimball around 8 a.m. Saturday. Kimball's infant child was with him at the Casey's General Store.

Officers then went to Kimball's residence in Nowata to contact his family. When officers arrived at Kimball's residence, the body of a dead woman was discovered.

Kimball was arrested and transferred in connection to the discovered body. He is now at the Nowata County Jail.

The OSBI said its investigation is ongoing.
