A woman accused of killing her roommate, then cutting up the victim’s body and hiding it in a freezer has been extradited back to Oklahoma from Wisconsin.
People who knew Talina Galloway describe her as the brightest light, and someone who helped everybody. On Wednesday night, her accused killer Kore Bommeli, who was also her roommate, came back to Wagoner county on a murder charge.
Nicole Carr was Galloway's friend for 15 years and said she was everyone's favorite person, a ray of sunshine, huge animal lover, and she loved to cook.
Jessica Carey didn't know Galloway personally, but has been following her case in a Facebook group since she went missing and is now good friends with Nicole.
"When she was here, she was putting kindness into the world," said Carey.
She said it's clear, Galloway's friends adored her.
"When she walked into a room it was like sunshine, and I'm sad I never get to have that," said Carey.
Galloway lived in a Wagoner County home with roommate Kore Bommeli.
Galloway went missing last April, and court documents said Bommeli told investigators Galloway was scared of COVID-19 so she decided to go away.
By June, they had arrested Bommeli, accusing her of burning evidence in the case and selling Galloway's truck. In January, Galloway's body was found in a freezer in Arkansas.
A woman in Arkansas said she saw someone last summer in a U-Haul near the dump site and it had a foul odor. She got the tag number and deputies said Bommeli had rented a U-Haul during that time.
"We think we have a very strong case toward Kore Bommeli," said Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott.
He said after her arrest last summer, Bommeli moved out of state.
"She moved back with her mother in Wisconsin," Elliot said.
Galloway's friends want to now see justice in this case.
"I really hope Kore rots for the rest of her natural life," Carey said. "The death penalty would be too good for her."
