More Than 60 Oklahoma National Guard Members Going To Texas To Support COVID-19 Measures

More than 60 Oklahoma National Guard members are heading to Texas to help with COVID-19 support for army units returning from overseas.

The soldiers are from the 345th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, headquartered in Oklahoma City.

The soldiers will be deployed to Fort Bliss, Texas for one year.

The unit's commander while on deployment, Lieutenant Colonel Darrin Fox, said they will help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by caring for and providing logistic support to soldiers and units that test positive.
