Inmate Back In Custody After Escaping From Taft Correctional Facility

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, an inmate is back in custody after walking away from the Jess Dunn Correctional Center in Taft.

ODOC officials said 41-year-old Robert Youngblood was seen leaving the facility on foot around 7 a.m. Saturday.

Staff attempted to pursue Youngblood, but he was able to avoid them a few hours. ODOC said Youngblood was apprehended before noon Saturday without incident thanks to the work of Lighthouse police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office.

According to ODOC, Youngblood is serving a three-year sentence for Escape From a Penal Institution out of Logan County.
