Lockdown Lifted For Some Oklahoma Prisons; Visitations Remain On Hold

The lockdown has been lifted for some Oklahoma correctional facilities after a fatal stabbing on Friday.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections locked down all facilities statewide after an inmate was stabbed to death at Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy.

ODOC officials continue to evaluate the situation but say that the lockdown has been lifted for Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud, and Eddie Warrior Correctional Center in Taft, as well as all community corrections centers. Visitations for all facilities remain canceled but ODOC said they are expected to return to normal by Friday, May 26.
