A southward-moving cold front arrived late Monday evening, bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air into early Tuesday morning. Any light snow or flurries will quickly end as even drier air arrives from the north.
Some locations will experience single-digit lows near or west of the Tulsa metro, with wind chill values in the sub-zero range early Tuesday morning.
These areas have been included in a cold weather advisory in effect now through Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning lows in Tulsa will be near 10, with afternoon highs nearing 30.

We’ll remain under the influence of this shallow, cold air mass through at least Wednesday morning, with morning lows expected in the lower 20s.
By afternoon, temperatures will moderate, with Wednesday afternoon highs in the lower to mid-40s.
Morning lows on Thursday and Friday will start in the 20s. Thursday afternoon highs will stay in the mid-40s but reach near 50 on Friday and the mid-50s on Saturday.
Another weak cold front is expected to approach the state this weekend and should pass the area Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Currently, there is no significant probability of precipitation in the forecast for the next 7 days, but a low-end chance for a few showers will arrive Saturday evening into early Sunday with the front.
The city of Tulsa, local shelters, warming stations, and outreach teams are working to ensure access to safe, warm spaces during the cold temperatures.
