Search and recovery operations are over after the body of a man who went missing Sunday while kayaking on Lake Carl Blackwell was recovered, officials say.
According to officials, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol recovered a body from the lake on Tuesday.
OSU Police said 20-year-old Brendan Jace Arrington fell out of a kayak Sunday afternoon and never resurfaced.
OSUPD, OHP, the Stillwater Fire Department, and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation assisted in searching for Arrington.
The search for Arrington began on Sunday. However, the multi-hour search was temporarily halted when severe storms arrived later that night.
Operations resumed Monday morning and continued on Tuesday, with OHP's dive team searching underwater. They recovered his body at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to OSUPD, Arrington is not a student or otherwise affiliated with the university.
