The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority have released the following details about ongoing and upcoming projects.
Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Projects
Creek Turnpike
- Westbound SH-364 at Arkansas River Bridge: Lane closed between Riverside Pkwy and Elm St.
- Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
- Reason: Routine bridge inspections.
Muskogee Turnpike
- Ramp to SH-51 in Coweta: Eastbound ramp closed Monday and Tuesday nights (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.).
- Detour: Use alternate routes for access to Coweta or Wagoner.
- Reason: Surface work.
- Near Creek Turnpike Interchange: Eastbound lanes narrowed Tuesday and Wednesday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
- Reason: Bridge repairs.
Turner Turnpike
- Westbound I-44 near Sapulpa (mm 214): One lane closed and rolling roadblocks Thursday night (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.).
- Additional: W. 111th St. closed for bridge repairs with a signed detour in place.
- Eastbound and Westbound Lanes near Kellyville (mm 201-203): Narrowed lanes with no shoulders.
- Reason: Paving for a six-lane widening project (completion summer 2025).
- SH-99 in Stroud (mm 179): Slightly narrowed lanes for service plaza reconstruction.
- SH-66 in Wellston (mm 158-157): Lane shifts and SH-66 closed for bridge widening through summer 2025.
Ongoing Highway Construction Projects
I-244 in Tulsa
- Between I-44 and US-75: Westbound lanes closed and narrowed to two lanes in each direction.
- Reason: Pavement rehabilitation (completion spring 2025).
- Near US-75 (NE corner of IDL): Reduced to one lane through March 2025.
- US-75 Off-Ramp to 7th St. (East IDL): Closed through March 2025.
US-412 at 81st W. Ave. (Sand Springs):
- Lane Closures: Two lanes in each direction with 81st W. Ave. reduced to one lane.
- Reason: Bridge rehabilitation (completion February 2025).
US-75 in Glenpool:
- At 141st St.: Narrowed lanes and reduced speed limits through summer 2025.
SH-97 in Sand Springs:
- From S. Main St. to W. 2nd St.: Pavement reconstruction with center turn lanes closed at US-412.
- Reason: Drainage installation (completion spring 2025).
