1 Dead After Crash Near Skiatook

One person was killed in a wreck that happened on Saturday near the town of Skiatook, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.

According to OHP, a 15-year-old was driving an SUV on State Highway 11 near County Road 2100 the vehicle went off the road and overturned, throwing a passenger about 100 feet from the vehicle.

The passenger, later identified as 56-year-old Nancy Williams from Barnsdall, was killed.

OHP said Williams was not wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
