Police Arrest Suspect In Connection To Fatal Tulsa Apartment Complex Shooting

Tulsa Police arrested a suspect on Friday in connection to a shooting at the Apache Manor Apartments.

Officers said the incident began with a report of a fight around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, which soon escalated to gunfire. When police arrived on the scene, they found 37-year-old Thomas Washington with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

During the investigation, the Tulsa Police Department identified the suspect as 24-year-old Jacob Singleton. Police say Singleton is on monitored probation for an unrelated felony crime.

Captain Matt Arnold of Tulsa Police commented on the potential dangers for residents, saying, “There’s a lot of people who live here and these people deserve to live in a safe environment and as long as we have people out here that are willing to do violence this isn’t a safe environment for them. We have children, families living here and you know it’s our job to come out here and make it as safe as possible.”
