A Wagoner County inmate is back in jail after the sheriff’s office says she was accidentally let out of jail earlier this week.

The sheriff’s office says one of its investigators saw Diana West near the 71st and Lynn Lane intersection in Broken Arrow and that's where she was taken into custody.

Sheriff Chris Elliott says West was accidentally released from the detention center earlier this week because a second inmate with the same name was being released at that time and the detention officer applied for the wrong bond warrant.

Elliott says West may not have realized that she was not supposed to be let out of jail. With this incident behind them, the sheriff’s office says it'll review training and guidelines for detention officers to make sure this doesn't happen again.

West was first booked into jail in 2016 on drugs and weapons charges.
