Thousands of rural co-op customers are without power Tuesday.

According to Oklahoma Electric Cooperatives, 7,788 customers are without power across 23 local co-ops. See Full Outage Map Here

It is not clear at this time how many of these outages are natural outages and how many are due to required blackouts. Southwest Power Pool declared a Level 3 emergency early Tuesday in its entire 14-state area. SPP is urging people to take steps to conserve energy use and to follow their local utility company's instructions regarding conservation.
