106.9 KHITS and Mattress Firm are Connecting the Community by highlighting Food on the Move and the Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program.

The Girls Scouts Beyond Bars program is in conjunction with Girl Scouts of America. The Girl Scouts Beyond Bars is designed to serve Girls Scouts who have a parent incarcerated. They provide Holiday dinner boxes for foster parents to take home and prepare. 

Hams and turkeys can be dropped off at the Food Hub (3829 E Apache St) M-F 9:00am-4:00 or Saturday 9:00am-12:00. To donate funds so we can purchase the items please go to FoodontheMoveOK.com. All hams and turkeys will be distributed at our holiday festival for Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program. 

This program is for young ladies with one or both parents incarcerated, and they are currently in the care of foster care or other guardians. This festival provides a complete meal for the family to celebrate the holidays together.
